Warranty terms for hot tubs and counter-current pools

Calculation of warranty period
The warranty period starts on the date the product is delivered from Quality Spas. The warranty period ends either at the end of the warranty period, as described below, or upon change of ownership, relocation of the hot tub/counter-current pool from the original installation location, installation of non-original parts or incorrect use of cleaning agents or use of the wrong type of cleaning agents.

This warranty only applies to portable outdoor hot tubs and counter-current pools, hereinafter referred to as pool(s), that are delivered and installed in Norway and are given to the original purchaser at the original installation location. The warranty applies exclusively to new pools. Any warranty on used pools and demo models is specified in the purchase contract.

Pool shell / warranty on structure
Quality Spas guarantees against leakage through the shell of the pool due to defects in material and/or workmanship for a period of 5 years from the original delivery date.

Interior Surface
Quality Spas warrants against cracking, blistering, peeling, discoloration and delamination of the interior surfaces for a period of two years from the original date of delivery.

Equipment
Quality Spas warrants the pool control panel, circuit board, heating element, pumps and wifi module against failure due to defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of five years from the original date of delivery.

Plumbing
Quality Spas warrants all factory-installed plumbing against leakage due to defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of five years from the original date of delivery.

Cabinet
Quality Spas warrants the exterior panel against cracking for a period of 5 years from the original date of delivery.

Electrical and Electronic Components
Quality Spas warrants the stereo and LED lighting system components for a period of two years from the original date of delivery.

Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
The warranty does not apply if the pool has been subject to negligence, alteration, abuse, neglect, repair by a non-authorized Quality Spas repairer, improper electrical installation or installation by a non-authorized installer, installation of non-original components, acts of God (including but not limited to acts of God), and any other circumstances beyond the control of Quality Spas.

Disclaimer
The limited warranty is given with the express understanding that the pool is not an essential or medical device. Quality Spas is not responsible for loss of use of the pool or any incidental or consequential costs, expenses or damages which may include but are not limited to: removal of a fixed deck or other fixtures or the need for removal by crane. Any implied warranty shall have the same duration as the applicable warranty below. In no event shall Quality Spas or any of its representatives be liable for personal injury or property damage, however caused.

Special Warranty Terms
5 Year Cabinet Warranty: Peeling, blistering, sun damage or delamination of the cabinet surface is specifically excluded from the warranty.

Warranty Limitations
The limited warranty is void if the spa has been subjected to negligence, alteration, abuse, neglect, repairs by non-Quality Spas authorized representatives, improper electrical installation, acts of God, freeze damage and any other conditions beyond the control of Quality Spas. Examples of common actions that void the warranty include, but are not limited to:

• Public use of the pool
• Scratches that occur during normal use
• Use when the pool water temperature is outside the normal range of 0°C to 47.8°C
• Damage due to incorrect water level (low, overflow, • etc.)
• Damage due to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, • etc.)
• Damage due to dirt, sand and calcium
• Damage due to clogged filter elements. See filter cleaning recommendations in this owner’s manual
• Damage due to continued use of the pool with either a known or unknown problem
• Damage due to trichlor and acids or any other pool chemicals not approved by Quality Spas
• Damage due to incorrect chemical use in the water. (High levels of chlorine, bromine, potassium, pH and other excessive use of chemicals.)
• Damage due to direct sunlight. The pool should always be covered when not in use
• Damage resulting from failure to follow the product's operating instructions
• Damage resulting from improper electrical installation, power outages, voltage transients, or operation of the spa more than ±10% outside the voltage range
• Pool improperly installed in the ground or placed on an unsuitable surface
• Although shell cracks, meaning cracks across the shell, are covered by this limited warranty, they are not considered smetic scratches, dents and crazing such as cracks are not covered
• The limited warranty only applies to spas that are normally used for personal, family or household purposes

Please contact customer service for moving procedures if you are moving your spa without voiding the warranty.

Warranty Exclusions
Consumable items such as filters, LED or light bulbs, cushions, jet inserts, covers and filter covers are specifically excluded from the warranty.

Submitting a Warranty Request
Your notification must include:


The spa's serial number. (usually located on a metal plate attached to one of the cabinet walls)
A thorough description of the problem.
Photographs/video file of the problem (if applicable)
